Team Keenan Autosport has decided to go a little colour blind to pay respect to those killed in the Christchurch terror attacks last weekend by sporting an all black and white scheme to which they will run for the remainder of the season.

Keenan who ran the paint style initially in the final race at Kyoto Park holds a 15 point lead in the championship after two fifths and a second over the weekend.

"The cars look beastly." Keenan told TKA MEDIA NEWS after the car reveal.

"We've always liked to present our cars as neat and tidy as possible, to be fair my design for the last race of last weekend was a bit messy, but thanks to Cross designs we were able to tidy it up and run a reverse scheme for McKenzie."

When asked about his perspective of the terror attacks, and why it prompted his change he didn't mince his words.

"It's horrible, disgusting and I hope the guy gets everything he deserves and more." He explained, holding back some emotion.

"We're suppose to be a united front and for someone to do something as barbaric as that in a country that was once considered safe to those of all ethnicity is just uncalled for and I hope we face no backlash from it. This livery signifies our respect to those we lost regardless of whether New Zealand was their real home or not."

Changing the subject and talking about the racing, a lack of pace followed by a small glitch in the pits cost the championship leader a better result.

"We just stuffed up to be honest." Keenan explained.

"We were running 1-2 for most of the first stint, Mark applied the pressure and we built up a penalty that I needed to remove."

"We lost ground to Mark who short fuelled to make sure he'd make an undercut and he made a meal of it with gave us the incentive to get ahead and keep the points lead."

"Overall the team's done a great job to present two quick cars, I just need to do better in qualifying and the races to be able to reward them."

The TNSC moves to Brazil for Round 5 of the championship at Interlargos repeating the 3 race aggregate format.
